Steam’s Summer Sale is in Full Swing

It’s that time of year again: one of the numerous sales rolled out by Steam, where we all spend a small fortune on games we sort of want, but may well never play.

Or is that just us?

This one’s the big one, though: the Steam Summer Sale. It’s called the ‘Steam Grand Prix Summer Sale’ this time around, but don’t let that confuse you; it’s not just racing games on sale – as always, thousands of games from all corners of Steam have been generously discounted.

The sale started yesterday, 25th June, and runs until 9th July. That means we’ve all got just under two weeks to bulk up our Steam libraries at cut prices.

Going to the Steam homepage will take you straight to a vast selection of sale games, sorted in various categories. There’s Steam’s picks of the day, of course, which will rotate throughout the sale. Or you can look at ‘featured’ games, games with the biggest discounts, or browse by genre. Alternatively, you can simply search for the games you actually want, in the hope that they’ll be reduced (chances are, they just might be!).

We’ll be picking out some of our favourite deals over the next two weeks. But in the meantime, go have a browse of Steam yourself. Here are some generously discounted games to get you started:

  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – £4.73
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – £12.49
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – £7.49
  • Dead by Daylight – £7.49
  • South Park: The Fractured But Whole: £4.99
  • Payday 2: £1.87
