Dead Cells Gets a Massive New Update

Dead Cells Header

We really must dive into Dead Cells again, because since we last played it there have been so many big updates.

The latest one landed just yesterday, reworking features, changing the balance of the game and more.

Among other things, Update the 13th nerfs Dead Cells‘ Arbiters, which are now only found in the Cavern on all difficulties. And as if that wasn’t cause for celebration enough, Elite’s have gone through a rework too. No longer do they have minions, for example, and weapons and activables dropped by them will now always have a starred affix. Two new Brutality mutations have also been added, as well as a new mob. Rampagers are like zombies but deadlier, and you’ll now find them where you previously found Arbiters at high difficulty levels (BC3+).

Honestly, there’s just too much in Update the 13th‘s patch notes to tell you about here. All you need to know is that the update includes many features, balance chances, bug fixes and tweaks suggested by the community, so Dead Cells should be fairer and more entertaining to play than ever. If you fancy going through them with a fine-tooth comb, you can read the entire patch notes here. And if you still haven’t played Dead Cells there’s never been a better time. Our review of the game was glowing, and it’s only got better since then.
