Three years into its development, Headup has announced Everreach: Project Eden, a sci-fi action RPG that is obviously influenced by the Mass Effect series.
Created by Ede Tarsoly, the man behind Meridian: New World, Solar Shifter EX and Meridian: Squad 22, his former one-man studio Elder Gamers has been staffed up to work on the title. The result is an ambitious third-person adventure with seemingly plenty of shooting, a touch of vehicular combat and a smattering of character development. Check out the reveal trailer below to see it in action.
Everreach: Project Eden will arrive on Xbox One and PC this September, and then PS4 a little bit later. It casts players as Nora Harwood, a member of Everreach’s security division who’s been dispatched to Eden in order to investigate mysterious goings on and also secure it for colonisation. Though of course, completion of her task isn’t going to be simple.
With eight hours of story penned by game writer Michelle Clough, who was also a narrative QA for the Mass Effect trilogy, and stunning environments designed by Mai-Anh Tran, an artist who has worked on movies such as WarCraft and Star Trek: Beyond, sci-fi fans would be wise to keep an eye on Everreach: Project Eden as its release approaches. It can be wishlisted on Steam right now.
