Cross yourselves believers: hellish 2D platformer Blasphemous is being summoned into the mortal realm for PC and consoles on September 10th.
The Game Kitchen, the independent game studio that brought us the horror point-and-click adventure The Last Door, is now bringing us something a little different. Blasphemous is rather more fast-paced than the studio’s last outing, but no less horrific.
It’s a 2D action-platformer that takes you to the world of Cvstodia, where you are The Penitent One, sole survivor of the ‘Silent Sorrow’ massacre.
You and your mystical sword, the Mea Culpa, face a journey through the nightmarish hellscape of Cvstodia in order to face a malevolent force known as The Miracle.
With retro pixel art, brutal and gory combat and intense boss fights; we can’t wait to get our hands on Blasphemous next month. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 10th. Check out the reveal trailer below.
