The starting date of Diablo 3‘s next season has been announced, and as usual a patch will be landing alongside it.
Season 18: The Season of the Triune begins on 23rd August on all formats. For a change, rather than providing a buff that’s most beneficial when players reach the endgame, it offers a bonus that’s useful right from level one.
All players will benefit from the Power of the Triune buff in Season 18, which means that circles will periodically be summoned around the battlefield. Some circles will provide those stood in them with a 100% damage bonus, others a 50% discount on resource costs, and there’s also a chance that a circle will appear that increases skill cooldown speed. Only one circle can be active at a time, however.
Alongside the start of Season 18, a new patch will be released for Diablo 3 introducing new Legendary powers and tweaking some of the game’s craftable items. The Executioner, for example, will now slay enemies if they have less than 5-10% health, while the set bonuses for Aughild’s Authority have been replaced. These changes have been made to promote player experimentation.
