If you have a desire to play Forza Motorsport 6 and all of its DLC, you best pick it up soon; it’s entering “End of Life” status on 15th September.
What that essentially means is the that from 15th September onward, Forza Motorsport 6 and all of its associated DLC will be no longer be available for purchase via the Xbox Store. You’ll still be able to download and play the game if you already own it, and physical copies will still be usable too. You just won’t be able to buy it any more.
It’s not the first Forza game to be delisted: Forza Motorsport 5 was delisted back in October 2017, and Forza Horizon 2 in September 2018. Microsoft is doing its best to ensure that everyone who has an interest in Forza Motorsport 6 and its DLC has them added to their libraries before they’re removed from the store, however.
From tomorrow, Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download Forza Motorsport 6 for free as part of Games With Gold. That means as long as they’re an Xbox Live Gold member, they’ll be able to redownload the game at any point. Additionally, the Forza Motorsport 6 Complete Add-Ons Collection which usually retails for £79.99/$99.99 is currently available with 95% off, making it just £3.99/$4.99. If you think you might ever want to play Forza Motorsport 6, jump on that right now.
We reviewed Forza Motorsport 6 upon its release in 2015. It doesn’t look as good as Forza Motorsport 7, which benefits from being Xbox One X enhanced, but it’s still an excellent racing game. The next Forza Motorsport is likely to be a launch title for Microsoft’s next-gen console.
