Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered Has a Release Date

Ghostbusters The Video Game Remastered

If there’s something weird in your neighbourhood, who are you go going to call?

That’s right, it’s the Ghostbusters, and they’ll be available on your console and PC in early October.

Originally released on a plethora of formats way back in 2009, we remember Ghostbusters: The Video Game being rather good. Thanks to Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis playing a part in the game’s writing and the fact that it featured the likenesses and vocal performances of the original Ghostbusters team, it was fabulously authentic. It was essentially like playing a new Ghostbusters film.

Enhanced for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC via the Epic Store, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered celebrates the 35th anniversary of the franchise, and it will be released on 4th October. Whether or not it’ll differ from previous versions of the game in any way other than having fancier graphics remains to be seen. The trailer below and the game’s website don’t shout about any additional features or content. But it’s being released at a budget price, so it doesn’t matter all that much.
