Upcoming survival game Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey has released the second in a series of teaser trailers.
In the trailer, creative director Patrice Désilets discusses the mechanics of Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, and the evolution of our species.
Each of the videos, entitled ‘Experiences’, features a different expert who gives an insight into some of the ideas and features of the game.
In the first video we hear from anthropologist Dr. Niobe Thompson, who goes into detail about the early history of humanity; and the latest video talks to professional rock climber Alannah Yip to discuss the climbing mechanics in the game.
Ancestors puts you control of a series of early apes, tasking you with the challenge of surviving and evolving, so that humanity can carry on through each generation. The game is developed by Panache Digital Games, an independent studio founded by ex-Ubisoft game designer Patrice Désilets, who served as creative director on multiple Assassin’s Creed titles and also worked on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is coming to PC later this month, then to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in December. You can watch the latest trailer ‘The Climber’ below.
