Try Out the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2v2 Alpha This Weekend

Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is giving us all a preview of the new 2v2 multiplayer mode this weekend, exclusively on PlayStation 4.

The Modern Warfare alpha will run for one weekend only and will feature five separate 2v2 maps, including two that have never been showcased before.

PS4 owners will be able to download the 2v2 alpha completely free, with no payment or pre-order necessary, and will be able to play starting from Friday 23rd August.

There will also be a beta for the 2v2 mode rolling out across other platforms in September, where we will be able to test out the crossplay capabilities and give feedback ahead of the game’s full release on October 25.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been described as a ‘re-imagining’ of the Modern Warfare series, which features some familiar characters but also an updated new story. Along with the new 2v2 multiplayer mode, there has also been a ‘battle royale’ mode announced, in which up to 100 players will be able to compete.

Download the alpha from the PlayStation Store starting August 23. The full game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on October 25th. Check out the 2v2 Alpha trailer below.
