5Gwent: The Witcher Card Game
I may be one of the only people to play Gwent before playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I didn’t have enough time to delve into a game that was notorious for its deep lore and unforgiving gameplay. But I was intrigued that it had its own card game so popular that it needed its own solo release. I had to play it.
I signed up for the beta and my worries about addiction to The Witcher were released by Gwent. The gameplay was fascinating; how you might want to lose a round if it causes your opponent to bleed cards they might have saved for future rounds. And now I’ve finally played The Witcher 3, I can also appreciate the characters and bloody creatures that I am deploying against my unwitting opponent.
