Are you wondering if you can you play GreedFall past the ending?
The answer is, unfortunately, no. As entertaining as this colonial-era role-playing game is, there’s no continuing past the ending. Some games such as Fallout 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2 will happily let you continue once you’ve finished, cleaning up up all those side-quests you’ve missed, or just roaming around fighting monsters for the sheer fun of it.
That’s not the case with GreedFall, unfortunately. It’s not all that unusual – plenty of other RPGs do lock the game off when you get past a certain point. Thankfully, the game warns you when you’re about to pass the point of no return, so if you do want to explore some more make sure you do.
Once you’re past that point in GreedFall, though, you’ll fail all uncompleted missions and you won’t be able to benefit from the experience or items you may have gained from completing them.
You can replay the game and reload an earlier save – but after the final battle there’s no playing past the ending. Make sure to save your game when you’re warned, otherwise you won’t be able to complete further missions. Reload when you’ve finished GreedFall and you can revisit those missions to your heart’s content and even try again when you’ve bulked up your character.
But once you’re in the game’s home stretch, there’s no going back.
