Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise Coming 2020

Rising Star Games and TOYBOX have announced that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise, the sequel to Swery65’s cult hit, is coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

Cult survival horror game Deadly Premonition is getting a sequel. Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will be arriving next year on Nintendo Switch, ten years after the release of the original game.

Just like the original, Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will be an open world survival horror game, following the story of FBI agent Francis York Morgan.

You will be solving various crimes and murders while jumping back and forth in time, as Special Agent Morgan must revisit the case he thought he solved in 2005.

The sequel will see the return of writer/director SWERY, who was also the creative mind behind D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die. The auteur game designer made an announcement for Deadly Premonition 2 on his Instagram account along with a clip of some gameplay footage.

The original Deadly Premonition was exceedingly divisive and even won a Guinness World Record for the most critically polarising survival horror game. Still, the game’s uniqueness and creativity was enough for it to gather a cult following, and there are sure to be many people excited for the sequel in 2020.
