A Metroidvania with plenty of elements ripped out of Dark Souls, Blasphemous isn’t a game that you’re going to beat in just a few hours.
So the question is: how long does it take to complete it?
The answer isn’t a simple one, as there are many factors to consider.
If you’re skilled and you run straight through Blasphemous, you might reach an ending in just under 10 hours. That’ll just be one ending though, and there are two.
Most people, however, will find their first playthrough lasting around 12-15 hours, especially if they explore and try to complete some of the game’s side quests.
To fully complete Blasphemous – that’s uncovering the whole map, completing all side quests, fully upgrading The Penitent One and watching both endings – it’s going to take you at least 20 hours. Honestly though, every minute spent with Blasphemous is worthwhile. It’s brilliant.
