Like previous Borderlands games, Borderlands 3 is quite a lengthy game.
More than ever though, depending on how you approach Borderlands 3, you might get considerably more gameplay out of it than someone else.
If you simply run though Borderlands 3‘s story and do little else, you’re probably going to get about 20 hours of play out of it. But you don’t want to do that – you should also play through the game’s side quests as well. Do that, and you’re probably looking at about 30 hours of gameplay.
With more endgame content than ever before though, the fun doesn’t have to stop there. If you’re the type that loves collecting loot and shooting things in the face, your time with Borderlands 3 could be endless. And there’s also a season pass available for the game, which promises four story expansions that should hopefully turn out to be good. The expansions for Borderlands 2 were some of the best we’ve ever played, after all.
So, you’re going to get a minimum of 20 hours play out of Borderlands 3. But it’s more likely to be about 40 hours for most players who engage in at least a little endgame content.
