While Blasphemous isn’t as likely to make you rage quit as a Dark Souls game, it’s still not exactly what you’d call easy.
Needless to say, you’re going to want to save your game and take a break quite often to keep your cool.
Unfortunately, saving your game in Blasphemous isn’t as easy as pressing start and selecting save. You’ll actually have to go out of your way to save in some cases.
To save your game in Blasphemous, you have to pay a visit to Prie Dieu. By interacting with a Prie Dieu, which looks like an altar, you’ll get down and pray, saving your game in the process.
There are other benefits to visiting Prie Dieu’s too. Along with saving your game, they also restore your health, and allow you change the core equipped in your Mea Culpa sword. You generally don’t have to travel that far without finding one, either.
Before you shut your game down, it’s also worth quitting back to the main menu. You do that by bringing up the map, hitting the required button to take you to the game’s options menu, and then selecting Exit to Main Menu.
