THQ Nordic and Airship Syndicate’s upcoming hack ‘n’ slasher Darksiders Genesis will be arriving first on PC and Stadia, then coming to other consoles at a later date.
Players now have a launch date for Darksiders Genesis, the latest entry in the popular hack ‘n’ slash franchise. However, exactly when you’ll be able to jump into the hefty armoured boots of Strife, the fourth horseman of the apocalypse, will depend on which platform you plan to purchase the game on.
Darksiders Genesis will be releasing first on PC and Google Stadia from December 5th this year. The console version will then be coming to PS4, Xbox One and Switch from Valentine’s Day – February 14th 2020.
Set during a biblical apocalypse where Angels and Demons fight for control, Genesis will be the first Darksiders game to be presented from a top-down perspective, and also the first to feature online and local co-op play. Taking place before the events of the original Darksiders, Strife and his brother War face an epic battle as Lucifer grants power to master demons throughout Hell, plotting to upset The Balance.
THQ Nordic has also dropped a new trailer for Darksiders Genesis, starring the grotesque demon Malgros the Defiler. Give it a watch below.
Darksiders Genesis will be coming to PC and Google Stadia on December 5th; then to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on February 14th 2020. For more details about the game, head over to the official Darksiders website.
