In recent years, Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead comic book series has expanded into a huge media-spanning global phenomenon. What with AMC’s television drama and a host of video games, most notably Telltale’s adventure series, it seems that fans just can’t get enough of this post-apocalyptic world.
In partnership with franchise owner Skybound, Skydance Interactive is throwing its hat into the ring with The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, a VR survival horror game which was officially unveiled yesterday with the release of a new cinematic trailer.
With the reputation that some virtual reality games of being stripped down, almost novelty experiences, Saints & Sinners is striving to make its name as a full-featured video game. Players will have to scavenge supplies for crafting food and weapons, and will fight the vicious zombies as well as other survivors using a visceral physics-based combat system.
There is also a strong emphasis on freedom of choice, with the decisions you make having an impact on the world and the other survivors around you. In this zombie apocalypse, you must to choose whether you want to follow the path of a Saint or a Sinner.
