Paradox Interactive dropped a dark new trailer to announce Crusader Kings III, the latest entry in the acclaimed medieval strategy series.
Paradox Interactive announced Crusader Kings III over the weekend with the release of a new trailer. It’s clear it isn’t messing around either, as the trailer features a snake, a hooded figure, a sleeping baby and… well, just watch it below and see for yourself.
Crusader Kings III will be the newest entry in Paradox Interactive’s popular Crusader Kings franchise, a grand strategy game series all about war, dynasties and conquest in the middle ages.
“Crusader Kings III is a grand medieval simulator where you are free to live out any plausible ruler fantasy that we could think of – but not without challenge.” says Henrik Fåhraeus, the Game’s Director. “Seeing its predecessor explode in popularity was very satisfying, especially considering that user friendliness was never our primary goal. Now we have a chance to address an even larger audience.”
Paradox is also allowing players to hone their strategy skills by giving away Crusader Kings II free of charge on all available platforms. A series of custom challenges entitled The Monarch’s Journey will also be playable on Crusader Kings II, which will unlock special rewards upon completion.
Crusader Kings III will be coming to PC in 2020, and will be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass for PC. More information about the game will be coming in the following months, so be sure to stay tuned. You can find out more on the official Crusader Kings website.
