Fans were given a sneak peek at Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood at PDXCON, with a new trailer and a few new details on Cyanide’s upcoming ARPG.
The presentation at PDXCON was given by Patch, Cyanide’s Game Director, who is reportedly a big fan of the original tabletop roleplaying games that built this dark fictional world.
The new trailer gives fans a first look at protagonist Cahal, a werewolf who has been exiled for several years. Returning to his tribe, he finds their forest sanctuary under threat from an oil company which is destroying the landscape to install an extraction site.
The game will feature rage as a main theme and mechanic. Cahal can transform into a wolf when consumed with rage, so players are challenged to manage this resource carefully in order to make the most of it. In this brutal and mature action-RPG, players lead Cahal through a quest of revenge and redemption, as he fights a war against those humans that are devastating the natural world.
Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthblood will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2020. Check out the new reveal trailer below.
