BIGBEN and Big Ant Studios have revealed that AO Tennis 2 will be Grand Slamming onto our screens in January 2020.
AO Tennis 2 will bring the authentic feel of the Australian Open Grand Slam tournament to homes all around the world. From Big Ant Studios, an Australian game studio reportedly filled with huge tennis fans, this official Australian Open video game will be returning to PC and consoles and promises many improvements over its predecessor.
One of the biggest new features is the Career Mode, which provides a narrative-driven experience in which players can rise through the ranks of pro tennis as a young star competitor. As well as talent on the court, other external events in the game’s story can affect the player’s success, which creates a deeper sense of immersion in the world of professional ball-hitting.
AO Tennis 2 will of course feature a roster of top players from both the ATP and WTA, including Rafael Nadal, Ash Barty, Angélique Kerber and more. The Content Editor will also make a return, allowing players to customise every aspect of their games and share online with other users. As a bonus, all user-created content from the original AO Tennis will also be available to enjoy in the new game – including thousands of custom players and hundreds of unique courts.
AO Tennis 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on January 9th 2020. Check out the reveal trailer below, and stay tuned for more new features that will reportedly be announced soon.
