How long does it take to beat Death Stranding, you say? How long is a piece of string?
Hideo Kojima’s latest game is definitely his most unusual yet. We can honestly say we’ve never played anything like Death Stranding before. And it’s not short, either.
Some players have reported finishing Death Stranding in around 35 hours, which is quite a long time for a single player, story-driven game. Others have reported that it took them about 80 hours, however, which is truly epic. Chances are it’ll take most players somewhere in between. So basically, expect to spend about 55-60 hours playing Death Stranding before you see the credits roll.
While Death Stranding isn’t a challenging game, if you want to blast through it a bit quicker you can play on Easy or even Very Easy difficulty to lower its challenge. Or conversely, if you want to spend more time in its world, you’re free to take on additional courier missions to increase your porter rank and gain more likes. You can also raise the difficulty, but it still doesn’t make the game particularly hard.
However you play, Death Stranding isn’t going to be a game you complete in a weekend.
