Paradox dropped a new trailer for the upcoming strategy game Crusader Kings III, taking us behind the scenes with Director Henrik Fåhraeus to explain his vision.
The video is meant to kick off a new monthly series about the development of Crusader Kings III, with the game set for release some time next year.
This latest chapter in the grand medieval strategy series aims to add further depth to the core gameplay experience of Crusader Kings II, but with a more streamlined and user-friendly approach.
In the video, Fåhraeus goes into his history with the series and video games in general, and how he wanted the world of Crusader Kings to evolve in this new game. A stronger focus on individual characters will bring an increased depth to the game’s complex web of dynasties and bloodlines, and will also lead to more engaging emergent stories as the consequences of each player’s actions unfold in unpredictable ways.
Check out the new video below, or you can head over to the Crusader Kings III website to read the connected blog post about the game’s vision. You can expect more behind the scenes videos from Paradox in the coming months, so stay tuned.
