There are rumours being reported that Apple is working on a dedicated e-sports gaming computer that will cost around $5,000.
The Economic Daily website was the first to report on the rumours, which originated from sources in the tech giant’s supply chain. Although a gaming PC would be new territory for Apple, the launch of the ridiculously good value Apple Arcade last year shows that the company could be looking to establish itself more firmly in the world of video gaming.
Many of the biggest games at the moment are not supported on the iOS operating system, so having Apple forge a stronger link to the video game industry could be a very exciting prospect.
According to Economic Daily, the new gaming machine could either be a large screen all-in-one computer in the style of the iMac, or a large screen gaming laptop. Either way, if the rumours are true we should get an official reveal at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in June or even sooner.
