Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice took a while to arrive on Xbox One, but it was worth the wait.
On Xbox One X, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is just as good as the PC version with all settings set to max. That’s impressive for a console that can be picked up for a third of the cost of a decent gaming PC.
You can choose whether you want to prioritise the framerate or the quality of the graphics, but it remains smooth either way. With the graphics set to high quality, however, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice really is a sight to behold. The eerie environments become even more unsettling, and the character models that bit more lifelike. Play the game with a decent pair of headphones and you’ll be impressed by its 3D audio, too.
If you want a short story-driven game with lashings of melee combat to show off your Xbox One X, this is the game to get.
