If you’re thinking of picking up Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the latest in a long line of games based on the popular Dragon Ball franchise, you might be wondering if it has any co-op or multiplayer features.
While most of the more recent games based on Dragon Ball have been multiplayer oriented, you might be surprised that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is not. It is, in fact, a strictly single-player only game. It doesn’t have any co-op or multiplayer features whatsoever.
Following the plot of the Dragon Ball Z anime series, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is an action RPG with massive maps ripe for exploration. It allows you to take control of a number of characters, developing them so that they can take on bigger threats and challenges. As such, there’s not much room for co-op or multiplayer modes.
If you do want to play a Dragon Ball game that allows multiplayer and co-op play, why not consider Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, just like Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot? And for fighting games fans, there’s also Dragon Ball FighterZ. Both are very much worthy of your time.
