Sonic Meets Wiz Khalifa in Movie Theme Music Video

A music video just dropped for the new Sonic the Hedgehog Movie theme, Speed Me Up, starring Wiz Khalifa and co. racing around in pixel form.

I think all of us, either ironically or unironically, are a little bit excited about the Sonic The Hedgehog movie. I don’t know about you, but seeing four fully grown rappers sincerely spitting bars about a little blue rat is exactly the kind of cringe I was hoping for when I first heard about it.

Speed Me Up is the newly released theme song for the Sonic movie, involving a collaboration between Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Yachty & Sueco the Child as they all sing about the titular speedy rodent.

A music video dropped for it yesterday, showcasing some pretty impressive pixel art intercut with scenes from the film. It also follows a narrative in which Wiz Khalifa is sucked into Sonic’s video game world, Jumanji style. Let us hope that he is able to escape this hell.

Sonic the Hedgehog will release on February 14th. Check out the Speed Me Up music video below, or you can keep up with updates about the film on its official twitter feed.
