“Against all the evil that Hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce, we will send unto them only you.”
The second official trailer for DOOM Eternal dropped yesterday, and it doesn’t disappoint.
Back in 2016, id Software and Bethesda ran a little experiment. “Is there still a market for 90s-style first person shooters?” they asked themselves. “Will the gaming public still accept an action game that has zero regard for realism? In which you can run at about 100 miles per hour while carrying enough heavy weaponry to crush a horse? Can a game be successful if it doesn’t have regenerating health, cover mechanics or even weapon reloading?”
Bethesda dropped the latest trailer for the upcoming gorefest yesterday, giving us some more cryptic hints about the game’s story and setting, as well as some fresh pulse-pounding action.
DOOM Eternal is scheduled for release on March 20th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Check out the new trailer below, or head over to the Bethesda website for more information.
