Games to Watch Out for This February

We’re already a month deep into 2020.

And even though January felt like it lasted pretty much 365 days by itself, we’ve made it through! February is once again a quiet month in terms of big, big releases – but there are still plenty of new and exciting games on the horizon if you’re chomping at the bit for something new to play.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War

Release date: 4th February

Following on from the success of Zombie Army TrilogyZombie Army 4 is bringing more chaotic zombie-slaying our way this week. Bigger and better than the previous entries to the series, if you like decapitating, blowing up or stomping on Nazi zombies, this is the game for you. Look out for our review later today.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics

Release date: 4th February
Formats: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch

A turn-based strategy game based on Netflix’s revival of The Dark Crystal, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics has you leading the Gelflings in a battle against the evil Skeksis. Even if you’re not a fan of the classic franchise, it promises excellent tactical battles. Look out for our review tomorrow.

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 3

Release date: 4th February
Formats: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch

We’ve already reviewed Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 3, and deemed it to be the best in the series yet. If you’re a fan of motorbike racing and supercross, this is a title worth considering.

4 Yakuza 3 2 (1)

Yakuza Remastered Collection

Release date: 11th February
Formats: PS4

Yakuza 3 and 4 Remastered have been out digitally on PS4 for a little while, but with the release of Yakuza 5 comes the physical release of the collection. So if you’ve been putting off buying them digitally to get a snazzy physical copy to put on your shelf, you’re in luck this month.

5 Darksiders Genesis 4 (1)

Darksiders Genesis

Release date: 14th February
Formats: PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Already out on PCDarksiders Genesis is finally making its way to consoles. It twists the gameplay of previous Darksiders titles into an isometric adventure, adding co-op into the mix too. Despite the change in viewpoint though, it’s a Darksiders game through and through – and is a hell of a lot of fun to play.

6 Dreams (4)

Dreams

Release date: 14th February
Formats: PS4

Although it’s been available in early access for a while, Media Molecule’s long-awaited Dreams is finally releasing this month. If you’re the creative sort, it’s a fully-fledged tool to allow you to bring your game ideas to life. And if you don’t fancy making your own game, you can play other people’s creations from a vast library.

Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate

Release date: 14th February
Formats: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Originally released back in 2018, Warriors Orochi 4 is getting a second outing, this time as the Ultimate edition. It’s adding new characters and extra storylines into the mix, and of course the zany musou action you should expect from the series. Bayonetta & Vanquish: 10th Anniversary Edition

Release date: 18th February
Formats: PS4, Xbox One

Can you believe this release was rumoured way back in 2017? Well, it’s finally coming, and we’re rather excited. If you’ve never played PlatinumGames’ classic Bayonetta or Vanquish before, you’ve no excuse. And even if you have, getting to play them in glorious 4K at a blistering 60FPS makes them worth playing again, surely?

The Suicide of Rachel Foster

Release date: 19th February
Formats: PC

We don’t know a great deal about The Suicide of Rachel Foster, but what we do know has us eager to find out more. It’s a narrative adventure that sees players in the role of a woman visiting her family’s hotel for the first time in years. While she’s there, she has to face the ghosts from her past in order to unravel a terrible truth. It all sounds very Edith Finch, and we’re here for it.

You might be expecting something very serious and gory with Conan the Barbarian’s name tied to it. Not so much in co-op adventure Conan Chop Chop. It’s a Rogue-like action game with a gorgeous cartoon art style that’s all about surviving for as long as you can. It’s looking like it’ll be a lot of fun – read our preview here.

Following its successful release on PC, Two Point Hospital is finally making its way to console. It’s been dubbed the spiritual successor of Theme Hospital – what more could you possibly need to know? Expect madcap disasters and weird and wonderful diagnoses in this hospital-building simulator.

12 Mega Man Zero ZX Legacy Collection (1)

Just in case we haven’t got enough Mega Man collections, here’s another one. The Zero/ZX Legacy Collection brings together Mega Man Zero, 2, 3 and 4, and Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent. So if you’re a fan of the blue bomber, this six-in-one package seems like quite the appealing prospect.

Based on the popular anime series, One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is an action fighting game set in a universe on the brink of annihilation.
