If you’re playing Bloodroots, chances are you might be finding yourself dying a lot.
Available on PS4, Switch and PC, Bloodroots is not an easy game at all, and unless you’ve got the reflexes of a ninja, you might find yourself well and truly stuck at some points. Thankfully, getting stuck doesn’t have to be the end of your adventure though, as in mere seconds you can make your character invincible.
To turn on invincible mode in Bloodroots, all you need to do is bring up the pause menu, select Options, and then Assist Options. You’ll be presented with a warning saying that if you enable assist options, your score won’t be uploaded to the online leaderboards. Confirm your acceptance and then you’ll see two helpful assists: invincible mode, and clear area.
With invincible mode turned on, you are indeed invincible. It means you can pick off enemies at your leisure and not have to worry about them killing you. It makes Bloodroots so easy that anyone can play it. All you have to worry about are platforming sections, because falling into an abyss can still kill you.
If killing enemies in invincible mode is still too much of a hassle though, or if you’re not fast enough to complete the game’s bonus levels, you can use the clear area assist to kill all enemies at once. It’s basically an area skip feature. Just remember that using these assists prevents you from uploading your scores. Use them to practice areas, perhaps, and then disable them once you’ve got a better idea of what you’re doing to compete against the world.
