In Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold, upgrading your weapons (or “Jara”) is important to staying strong. Here’s everything you need to know.
Weapons in Snack World are referred to as “Jara”. They’re essentially small trinkets that can be grown to full size when needed in battle. And while you’ll find lots of new weapons as loot, it’s important to regularly upgrade your Jara whenever you can.
Early into playing Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold, you’ll unlock ‘fortification’. It’s an option on the game’s main menu that allows weapons and gear to be upgraded.
Upgrading weapons in Snack World is much like crafting in other games; you’ll need specific items and pieces of material to do so. Some of these can be bought, but usually you’ll need to have looted them from a dungeon. When it comes to upgrading Jara, you’ll always need a matching weapon along with other random resources.
For instance, if you want to upgrade your standard axe, you’ll need a second axe to use as parts.
To access the weapon upgrade menu, press X while in town to pull up the main menu. From there, select ‘Fortification’. You’ll see a full list of your Jaras. If you can upgrade, you’ll see a speech bubble on the item that says “Able to Fortify”. If not, you’re still missing some necessary resources.
It’s worth checking the Fortification menu after every dungeon just to see if you can upgrade something. The extra boost to stats can make all the difference.
