An upcoming RPG shooter from Square Enix and People Can Fly, Outriders is getting a big reveal stream this Thursday, February 13th.
Outriders was originally unveiled at the Square Enix briefing during last year’s E3, but we’ll finally get to see some gameplay and go way more in depth with the game during this reveal stream; which will feature director Bartek Kmita and lead writer Joshua Rubin, and is set to broadcast on Thursday, February 13th at 8:00pm GMT.
A co-op RPG shooter in a dark sci-fi world, Outriders features intense action with powerful weaponry and superhuman abilities. Create your Outrider and set off on your journey, telling an epic story across a diverse and hostile world.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Outriders is being developed by People Can Fly, the Polish studio best known for developing Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgement while working under Epic Games, but who also made the quite wonderful balls-to-the-wall shooter Painkiller back in 2004. This will be the studio’s fist game since leaving Epic and becoming independent once again, but it’s certainly proven its skill when it comes to action gameplay.
With a release date scheduled for the holidays this year, it looks like Outriders might be one of the earliest titles on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, but is also set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC. You can watch the reveal stream on the Square Enix Twich channel on February 13th at 8pm GMT, but in the meantime check out the new trailer below.
