If you were looking forward to playing Wasteland 3 in May, we have bad news. Thanks to issues caused by coronavirus, it’s now being delayed until August.
In an update posted to the game’s Fig campaign page, inXile Studio Head Brian Fargo has informed backers that challenges introduced by moving to a work-from-home environment has forced its hand to delay the game for a few months in order to ensure that it’s a stellar product on day one. As such, Wasteland 3‘s new release date is 28th August.
We went hands-on with with small section of Wasteland 3 recently, and were very impressed with what we played. It’s undoubtedly going to be the best looking Wasteland game yet, with a beautiful world to explore that’s just as deep as ever. It’s a shame that we won’t get to play it in May, but if a delay means that it can truly be the best game it can possibly be, we’re happy with that. You can read our preview right here. And check out the game’s Fig page for Brian Fargo’s full statement.
