The lord of the dead is alive!
Daedalic Entertainment’s roguelike RPG, Iratus: Lord of the Dead is getting a full release on PC today after nine months in Early Access. A turn-based tactics driven fantasy, the game sees you lead your own army of undead in order to bring chaos and suffering to the mortal world. All jolly and light, then.
It’s fared well in Early Access, garnering a ‘Very Positive’ review on Steam with over 2,000 ratings. It’s also hit its target full release window with gusto; developer Unfrozen originally listed somewhere “between April and June 2020” for a release. And here we are in April, right at the beginning of that window. Well done, chaps!
Iratus: Lord of the Dead isn’t a walk in the (very dark) park; it’s designed to challenge its players. As you play, you’ll come across numerous monsters and your horde will develop hundreds of new skills as you progress. Those already with the Early Access version of the game can look forward to a major update as the full game releases; there’s new dungeon levels, new quests, more enemies, items and additional content.
If it sounds like your sort of thing, it’s available now on Steam. Unfrozen and Daedalic have also announced the game’s first expansion, Wrath of the Necromancer, is scheduled to release in September.
