No, that’s not a slur; Journey to the Savage Planet‘s upcoming DLC is actually called Hot Garbage.
Announced during last night’s Inside Xbox stream, colourful space exploration game Journey to the Savage Planet is getting new DLC. We don’t have to wait too long either; it’s dropping next week, on 15th April.
Hot Garbage gives players a brand new planet to explore: DL-C1 (hah, I see what they did there). There’s been reports of raised pollution levels at Kindred Aerospace’s new resort there, so it’s up to you to go investigate. Cue meeting robotic representatives, new alien life forms to discover (and probably destroy), and gaining new skills.
Yep, you’ll gain whole new ways to traverse the world in Journey to the Savage Planet. The Hot Garbage DLC allows players to unlock lead boots for exploring underwater; unlimited stamina so you can run forever; a jetpack so you can head to the skies; and a new suit to protect you in toxic environments.
The DLC is available from next Wednesday, 15th April on Xbox One and PC, with a PS4 debut following “soon”. It’ll cost £7.99 (and, of course, you’ll need the base game to play it).
If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, Journey to the Savage Planet will be added to the service tomorrow, 9th April. If you’ve not yet played it, you really ought to.
