Hope you like simulator games, because you’re getting two of them on PS Plus in May.
Yep: Farming Simulator 19 and Cities: Skylines make up the free PS4 games that PS Plus subscribers will get to add to their libraries from next week. They’re two quality games – but not much fun if you’re not into sims. And since it’s quite an acquired genre, you may well not be. Sorry ’bout that.
If you are, though, both are excellent games. Farming Simulator 19 is about as realistic a farming experience you can get without actually donning your wellies, jumping in a tractor and driving around a field. In it, you’ll be sowing seeds and harvesting crops the real way; none of that picking vegetables one-at-a-time business that Stardew Valley wants you to believe. You’ll have a range of powerful vehicles at your disposal, and a whole catalogue of tractors and combine harvesters to fawn over and work towards.
Cities Skylines, on the other hand, puts you in charge of a full city rather than just a measly farm. You’ll be responsible for building new structures, planning transport, development, and, well, just about everything a good city needs to flourish. It’s one of the most popular city builder games out there, so if you’re yet to try it – now’s your chance. Providing you’re a PS Plus subscriber, of course.
Both Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 19 will be available to download from next Tuesday, 5th May. That means you’ve still got a few more days to claim DiRT Rally 2.0 and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End if you haven’t yet.
