Stadia Pro is Free for Everyone for Two Months

Google Stadia VP Phil Harrison has announced today that the service will be made free to play for everyone to help with social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic. In a statement published on Google’s The Keyword, he said:

We’re facing some of the most challenging times in recent memory. Keeping social distance is vital, but staying home for long periods can be difficult and feel isolating. Video games can be a valuable way to socialize with friends and family when you’re stuck at home, so we’re giving gamers in 14 countries free access to Stadia for two months. This is starting today and rolling out over the next 48 hours.

To make the most of the offer, you need to head to in order to sign up. If you want to play on your Android or iOS device, you’ll need to download the Stadia app. Otherwise, you can simply play from your Chrome browser.


You’ll be able to play any of the nine games included in Stadia Pro, which are: Stacks on Stacks (on Stacks), Spitlings, Serious Sam Collection, SteamWorld Quest, SteamWorld Dig 2, Thumper, Gylt (Stadia exclusive), GRID and Destiny 2: The Collection.

Any who is a current Stadia Pro subscriber will have their payments frozen for two months, meaning it’s free for everyone.
