I cannot tell a lie. Except that one.
FMV games are aggressively pushing their way into the video game world, and the world can’t seem to get enough of them. Telling Lies from Sam Barlow, creator of the award-winning Her Story, is among the newest in the genre. And now, gamers will be happy to know, it’s headed to consoles.
And soon: it’ll be available on PS4, Xbox One and Switch next week, on 28th April.
When we reviewed the PC version of the game, we liked it a lot saying, “Telling Lies’ compelling narrative and phenomenal acting will be enough to spur you on,” and scoring it a rather impressive 8/10 (that’s a “great”, if anyone’s keeping tabs).
An investigative thriller, Telling Lies sees you searching through a stolen NSA database full of footage of different people. You’ll sift through dozens of short video clips, searching by keywords, to try to piece together how the four characters are interconnected. The game features a star-studded live-action cast that includes Logan Marshall-Green, Alexandra Shipp, Kerry Bishe and Angela Sarafyan.
If you missed it on PC, or have been waiting to pick it up on console, your wait’s almost over. Telling Lies will be available to purchase digitally on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4 next Tuesday, 28th April.
