Yesterday, Ubisoft rolled out Title Update 9 to Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
It’s a beefy update; expect to download around 10GB before you can jump in and play.
The biggest game update is the ability to reconfigure Exotic items, as well as being able to upgrade them to level 40. The crafting bench now allows for a reconfiguration system, and Exotics were previously exempt from that. Reconfiguring them will allow you to change their attributes and get new stat values assigned. You can find out more information about this here.
The Division 2 update 9 also balances a number of weapons and items. Equipment has both been nerfed and buffed to allow for more balanced play. Of note, the exotic item Sawyer’s Kneepads have been completely reworked; now, they can’t be staggered by explosions and they’ll increase weapon damage by 3% for each second you’re not moving, stacked up to 10 times.
Other exotic items to be reworked are Imperial Dynasty, Dodge City Gunslinger and Diamondback.
A couple of missions have had their difficulty level lowered: Pentagon & Darpa Research Lab and Liberty Island have been adjusted to be more on par with other missions. For the Wall Street mission, the APC has had its damage and health reduced.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg; update 9 for The Division 2 introduces dozens of bug fixes and minor adjustments to make gameplay just that bit more enjoyable. You can see the full patch notes on Ubisoft’s forum here.
