You couldn’t pay me be exercise every day. Well, actually for £500 maybe you could.
Lyvit, a UK-based sports multivitamin company, is looking for four people to complete video game workouts every day for a month in order to test and see how effective exercise gaming is. Candidates will try out four different games – Ring Fit Adventure, Just Dance 2020, Zumba Burn It Up and Arms – while keeping a detailed health and wellbeing journal to record their weight and energy levels.
As payment, Lyvit will provide the chosen “exergamers” with a Switch and the four games, as well as £500 for exercising with the games for one hour every day over the course of the month.
Lyvit decided that it would like to recruit testers after it did a survey which showed that almost half (48%) of British adults have participated in some form of digital exercise.
If you’d like to apply you can follow this link, but keep in mind that applicants are required to have a BMI between 25 and 29 and must be between 18–65 years old with no underlying health conditions such as diabetes, arthritis or heart disease. Lyvit would like to recruit two females and two males with a May 29th deadline for applications.
So, if you’d like to earn a little bit of cash as well as a Nintendo Switch console, head on over to its website to sign up to participate.
We’ve covered both Zumba Burn It Up and Ring Fit Adventure before and found both games to be pretty decent in the exercise department. They’re fun too – so you’ll be getting healthy, earning money and having a blast while doing so. Quite a sweet deal if you ask us.
