Rebellion is Giving Away Evil Genius on Steam for Free

Hooray for free stuff!

To keep us all entertained during lockdown – and to remind us that Evil Genius 2 is in development – publisher Rebellion is giving away its game Evil Genius.

Billed as a ‘world domination simulator’, Evil Genius puts you in the shoes of a supervillain hellbent on taking over the globe. From your evil lair, you’ll delegate evil tasks to your evil minions, set up evil traps to dispose of pesky interfering government officials, recruit henchmen to do your bidding, and more. Basically, it’s the closest you’re ever going to get to being Dr. Evil.

Rebellion is giving away copies of the game on Steam to anybody who wants it – but there’s a few hoops you’ve got to jump through first. Sadly, you can’t just hit ‘download’ on Steam. You need to head over to Rebellion’s website, where you’ll need to sign in or register for an account. Then, you’ll need to link your Steam account. Once that’s done, you can claim Evil Genius for free, and it’ll be automatically added to your Steam library.

It takes just a few minutes, and if you don’t mind handing over a couple of details, there’s a free game in it for you. Evil Genius is otherwise £10 on Steam. There’s no end date to the giveaway, so Rebellion could close it at any point. If you want to grab the game for free, do so sooner rather than later.
