How to Complete the Ball Obstacle Course in Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated

Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated

Stuck on that pesky ball obstacle course in Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated? Here’s how to complete it.

As a kid, one of my least favourite levels in the game was the Mermalair. There were a million ways to fall off the level, it felt like there were robots everywhere and then there was that darned ball obstacle course that I could never complete. It’s still tricky, but now that I’ve… aged quite a few years, besting the ball obstacle course in Battle for Bikini Bottom isn’t too difficult. Here’s how you do it.

To initiate the ball to fall and start going down into the course, you’ll want to bubble bowl a bubble up the ramp that’s behind Mr. Krabs. That will hit the button dropping the ball onto the pipes. It will begin to roll down and you’ll want to bubble bowl the thing that looks a bit like a slingshot. This will move the pipes around so that the path is safe for the bowl to roll down.

From there, scurry over to the big spoon and bubble bowl the bottom of it to send the spoon down. Be careful with your timing here because the spoon will go back up without the ball if you do it a little too early. Then, head over to the pad that has the feet on it and stand there to open the grate in front of the next button. The ball has a long path to go down from the spoon to the next spot on the course; try to time it so that the cup a little further down the course will catch the ball once you’ve bubble bowled that new button. Waiting until the ball is almost right above the button should be good enough.

The hardest part of the ball obstacle course is next. You’ll want to turn right and jump up the stairs that are right next to Mr. Krabs. You’ll see another pad with feet on it and when you step on that it’ll bring a platform up, making it so that the ball won’t fall into the abyss. This will all happen pretty quickly so then you’ll want to jump over to the right, following the path of the ball, take out the robot really quickly, and hit the button with your bubble bowl to raise up the giant hammer so it won’t knock the ball off course.

Finally, jump onto the wooden platform and guide the ball to where the big white hand is pointing being careful not to let the ball fall into one of the holes.

And there you have it; you’ve just beat Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom‘s pesky ball obstacle course. Don’t get discouraged if it takes you a few tries. Timing is everything in this one!
