If you’re going to be playing through Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, you’re going to need to know how to save your game.
Well actually you don’t, because like most games these days Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive has a robust autosave system. It saves fairly frequently, so you could feasibly complete the game without having to worry too much about losing any progress. There is also a manual save system, however, which you may as well make use of.
To manually save your game in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, simply press the + button on your controller to bring up the pause menu, then select the ‘Save Game’ option. You’ll then be taken to a screen where you can select an existing save to overwrite or create a new.
Note that you can’t manually save during battles or story scenes. Outside of those you can pretty much save anywhere though, which is very handy. Perhaps make a fresh save every once in a while in case you happen to miss something important. That way, you can load up a previous save and continue from there.
