It’s official: DiRT 5 launches 9th October on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The release date for next-gen versions will be revealed at a later time.
That’s not the most interesting tidbit of information released about Codemasters’ upcoming rally game today, however. A new trailer that focuses on the game’s story and its star-studded cast provides that.
DiRT 5 will feature Codemasters’ most ambitious career mode ever, with over 130 events to complete spread over five chapters. It has a story, too, with characters voiced by Troy Baker and Nolan North. And did we mention that there are multiple paths through it? That’s right, you’ll be able to choose your favourite events based on their discipline or even location. You’ll perhaps want to go back and complete additional events if you want more Stamps to unlock Throwdown challenges, however. Or cash to buy and upgrade your vehicles.
The career mode and release date trailer below gives potential players an insight as to how DiRT 5‘s story is presented. Nolan North even states that his character, Bruno, “was one of the most interesting antagonists I’ve ever got to play”. Be sure to check it out.
