Lather on some sunscreen and brace yourself for family fun with Planet Coaster: Console Edition, which is headed to next-gen consoles.
Frontier Developments recently revealed that its popular theme park simulation game, Planet Coaster, is going to be making its way onto next-gen consoles this holiday season.
The Console Edition of Planet Coaster puts players right into the fun and exciting career of designing and running a theme park complete with roller coasters, rides, food and even bathrooms! It’s up to you to completely customise your park how you see fit and to try and please your park goers of course.
Planet Coaster includes almost limitless freedom for you to choose what and where you want things for your park. Physics-driven realism and advanced simulation can put you as close to the action as you want to go even allowing players to even jump on the rides and see how things are running. You’ll keep track of your crowds and see how they’re reacting to your park as well hire employees to keep things running smoothly.
The game’s Console Edition was originally slated for release this summer. That date has been pushed back, and now the game will launch towards the end of the year simultaneously on PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X. Bad news for those of us who were looking forward to rollercoaster shenanigans very soon on our consoles, but good news for those who’ll be picking up a next-gen console at launch.
If you can’t wait, though, Planet Coaster has been available on PC since 2016. Give the new Console Edition trailer a watch below.
