From the developer of Life is Strange and Vampyr comes Twin Mirror, a narrative thriller.
Twin Mirror was first announced back in 2018, but news has been scarce since then. Until this weekend’s PC Gaming Show, that is. Originally slated to be an episodic release, it’s now releasing as a single, contained experience. And if the new teaser trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be a good one.
In it, you play as Sam Higgs, a former investigative journalist. He’s just returned to his home town to say goodbye to his old best friend – but it seems his troubled past wants to catch up with him.
Twin Mirror‘s plot will see Sam struggle with his own mind alongside uncovering dark secrets of Basswood, his home town. He’ll become entangled in an investigation that’ll see him meet interesting characters alongside reconnecting with his own loved ones. The path he takes, though, has many branches; and the outcome of his story ultimately depends on the choices you make.
There’s no release date for the game just yet, but the trailer says “soon”. We like the sound of that. It’s releasing on PS4, Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store. We’ll have more on Twin Mirror closer to its release. For now, give the trailer a watch below. You can find more information about the game on its official web page.
