Bleach: Brave Souls Celebrates 5th Anniversary With $450,000 of In-Game Prizes

This month sees mobile game Bleach: Brave Souls‘ 5th anniversary. To celebrate, KLab is giving away $450,000 worth of in-game rewards.

The Brave Souls Attribute Formation Lottery will be held inside the game from today until July 19 at 1 pm BST. Players will win rewards by matching the correct attributes of 3 characters in the game after watching some videos on Twitter.

The winners will be revealed during the Bleach: Brave Souls 5th Anniversary Bankai Live event. Prizes will be given in Spirit Orbs.

The online event will also feature some voice actors from the Bleach anime series, including Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki,) Ryotaro Okiayu, (Byakuya Kuchiki), and Noriaki Sugiyama (Uryu Ishida).

The winners of the Instagram photo competition will also be announced during the event. Last week, players were asked to submit photos using a Brave Souls-themed Instagram filter and a “#PartyWithKon” hashtag.

Bleach: Brave Souls was first released on Thursday, July 23, 2015, roughly two years after the homonymous anime had ended. Hardcore Bleach fans continued to follow the manga, but for many 2013 was the end of the saga. As such, when developer KLab released Bleach: Brave Souls, fans jumped on it with nostalgic joy.

Five years later, and the game has over 5 million downloads on the Play Store and overwhelmingly positive reviews.

The 3D action game, which has plenty of RPG elements, follows the story of Kurosaki Ichigo as he discovers his Shinigami (Soul Reaper) powers and effectively subverts the rules of Soul Society. The title includes several modes, including a Summoning shop, co-op, battle, and story.

The lucky winners of The Brave Souls Attribute Formation Lottery will be able to use their Spirit Orbs to purchase anything in the game’s shop.
