Announced back in April, NIS America’s Giraffe and Annika is a cutesy RPG featuring rhythm-based RPG.
In the game, you’re cast as Annika, a young girl with cat-like features who finds herself on the mysterious Spica Island. With no memory of who she is or how she got there, she must set out on an adventure to regain her memories.
Luckily for her, she runs into Giraffe, a boy who seems to know her. Together, they set out on an adventure to find strange star fragments which are hopefully the key to restoring Annika’s memory.
With bright and bold visuals, Giraffe and Annika looks to be a lot of fun. You’ll explore the 3D world to uncover secrets, talk to NPCs and interact with the world around you. It’s the combat that really sounds interesting, though; you’ll defeat a number of fearsome bosses by hitting buttons in time with the music.
A new trailer of the game has just been released, which you can watch below. It showcases new gameplay and highlights more of the game’s enchanting world.
Giraffe and Annika is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch soon. It will release on 25th August in North America, 28th August in Europe and 4th September in Oceania. There will be both digital and physical versions, with a limited Musical Mayhem Edition bundling the game with a soundtrack and art book.
You can find out more about the game on the official website. We’ll have more closer to launch.
