Now available on Xbox One as well as PS4 and PC, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is one of the best games in the series.
Placing players in the shoes of Kazuma Kiryu once again, they shouldn’t be surprised that it provides a lengthy adventure full of action, intrigue and a huge amount of minigames. But those playing Yakuza Kiwami 2 for the first time might be wondering: how long does it take to beat it?
With many chapters to its story, those who head straight through Yakuza Kiwami 2 without engaging in much of its side content will be watching the credits roll after about 20 hours of play. Many will be happy to leave it at that, too.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is best enjoyed at a leisurely pace, however. Some of the game’s best moments are found in its many sub-stories that can be discovered if you take time to explore. And many of the game’s minigames can prove to be enjoyable time sinks. Engage in them liberally, and you may find your playthrough taking around forty hours or more.
Those who want to see and do everything Yakuza Kiwami 2 has to offer, however, including obtaining all of its achievements or trophies, will find themselves playing the game for at least 60 hours. So, how long does it take to beat the game? It depends on your definition of beating it.
