Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Update Will Add New Features

Sekiro Update (1)

18 months after its launch, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to receive an update that will inject new life into the game for many.

On October 29th, a new update will be released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, presumably to coincide with the game’s release on Stadia.

With the update, players will be able to take part in Reflections of Strength, allowing them to once again take on any bosses they’ve previously defeated. There will be Gauntlets of Strength, too; single-life challenges that are only for the brave. Both will be accessible via any Sculptor’s Idol.

Those who overcome the Gauntlets of Strength will find themselves in receipt of two additional costumes for the Wolf to wear, while another is unlocked just by completing the game. Purely cosmetic in nature, players will be able to change their outfit by visiting a Sculptor’s Idol.

And finally, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is getting a Remnant system. It allows players to record 30 seconds of what they do in-game, and then upload it alongside a message for others to see. Players might want to record an epic takedown or an unfortunate incident, for example, and offer other players advice.

Players will be able to rate the Remnants they encounter, and if they do, the owner will have their HP recovered, allowing them to keep in the fight without the use of a Sculptor’s Idol or consumable items. Needless to say, the system might come in handy for those new to the game.
