Characters and stages from NieR: Automata will come to SINoALICE as part of a game update bringing new chapters to the Act of Hatred saga.
The news was reported today by Pokelabo, a subsidiary of GREE, and Square Enix, and comes as 1,000,0000 players have downloaded the game just two weeks after its global release.
SINoALICE is fantasy battle RPG available on iOS and Android. Created by Yoko Taro (director of Drakengard and the NieR saga), it takes characters from fairy tales and throws them into a dark, cruel fantasy world.
Players will be able to get the NieR exclusive content by logging into SINoALICE during the “NieR Collaboration Event Period”. It runs from today, Wednesday 16 Julye 2020, to Thursday 6 August 2020.
The content will include the character 2B/Breaker, who will appear as a gift in your present box after completing the tutorial, and an original chapter written by Yoko Taro.
The new level will include voice recording from Yui Ishikawa (voice of 2B) and Kaori Kawabuchi (Simone). It will allow players to discover additional items and characters from the NieR and NieR: Automata franchise.
Acquiring the SR weapon Type-4O Blade will unlock A2/Breaker; and acquiring the SR weapon No. 7’s Staff will unlock Emil/Cleric. Both character classes also come with a personalised story, and each weapon has its own weapon story.
Together with the news, GREE released a trailer showcasing the collaboration. Watch it below, where you can see SINoALICE’s new guest characters in action.
The game’s new Act of Hatred chapters will add the story of the Little Mermaid, and current characters include Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Red Riding Hood and more.
